Tombs of the Kings in Paphos dates back more than 2,000 years and is one of Cyprus’ most fascinating ancient sites.

Despite the name, no kings were actually buried here. The impressive underground tombs were carved from solid rock and were used as burial sites for high-ranking officials and aristocrats during the Hellenistic and Roman periods.

Interesting facts about the Tombs of the Kings:

🏛️ The site is part of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Paphos archaeological area
⛰️ Many of the tombs were carved directly into the rock
☀️ The underground chambers and stone columns are still incredibly well preserved today
